SATURDAY 17 OCTOBER, 21H30
Directed by Rodrigo Areias and with music by Tó Trips, “Surdina” is a tragicomedy set in the Minho, about a widower from Guimarães who receives news of a sighting of his late wife. A story about the delicacy of being old, and what remains to dream and love. Entirely shot in Guimarães, the film was written by Valter Hugo Mãe, taking advantage of the happy coincidence that both the writer and director are both from Guimarães. Accompanied by a live performance of the instigating music by Tó Trips, “Surdina” will be screened again at the CCVF, this time as part of the Westway LAB, after a successful performance in the garden, in July 2020, in the Lufada programme, thereby giving those who missed the previous screening the chance to see the film.
