Morabeza. A word born from absence and suffering, was invented as a response to the hardships experienced in the Cape Verde archipelago. We will be led by Luciano, a 19-year-old tour guide to the Chã das Caldeiras volcano. He has never left the island of Fogo and tells us about his need to leave. His daily life revolves around climbing the volcano, growing grapes and feeding cattle. In his spare time, he accompanies his father, a violinist, using his reco-reco - a simple comb that he scrapes in a plastic tube. The voyage he invites us on will also be his own journey, an initiatory journey into the heart of Cape Verde and its culture.
