In addition to the usual works of the Strauss family, brilliantly choreographed by the Guimarães Ballet Academy, which will transport us to the ballrooms of the 'Belle Époque', the New Year's Concert 2024 also includes some of the most famous forays into the style by great composers such as F. Chopin, F. Suppé, Leo Delibes, Franz Lehár, and Maurice Ravel. The latter's impressionist masterpiece 'La Valse', written at the end of the first World War, pays a beautiful and tormented homage to J. Strauss and to a post-war Vienna in ruins.
