Viagem a Lisboa (Journey to Lisbon)
“Viagem a Lisboa” is a theatre performance that seeks to explore, through a fictional narrative, the historical context of the artists' family past, based on an original text by Isabela Figueiredo in dialogue with the album Diz À Mãe Que Está Tudo Bem by musician Silk Nobre. In this concert-performance, as in the works of Isabela Figueiredo and Silk Nobre, the family appears as a core context for addressing sociopolitical tensions such as colonialism, racism, and the experience of the retornados. The arrival in Lisbon of an older generation visiting their children serves as the starting point for the development of two key dramaturgical threads: family history and generational conflicts, investigating family dynamics, silences, communication difficulties, and the passage of time.
