Botticelli Baby
The major novelty of Guimarães Jazz 2025 is the launch of an opening concert held outside the “official” program, intended as a festive gateway into a musical genre that is often, and mistakenly, perceived by non-specialist audiences as overly intellectualized and austere.
For this first experience, the choice fell on the German band Botticelli Baby, a unique project that freely navigates through eclectic musical landscapes—pop, soul, funk, vaudeville, Balkan and Gypsy music, among other styles—always at full throttle and with the swing of canonical jazz as its backdrop.
