Jam Sessions with Alex Hitchcock Quintet at Convívio
The jam sessions give Guimarães Jazz one of its defining features. Their improvisational nature reveals the more informal side of jazz, allowing the audience to experience it in a more direct and intimate setting with the musicians. This year, the jam sessions at Convívio and at the Café Concerto of CCVF will feature the Alex Hitchcock Quintet.
Joining British saxophonist and composer Alex Hitchcock will be a group of promising instrumentalists: trumpeter Dave Adewumi, pianist Will Barry, double bassist Ben Tiberio, and Franco-Brazilian percussionist Ananda Brandão.
