FRIDAY JUNE 5, 9:30 PM
Àlbum de Família
Lúcia Pires’ artistic trajectory lies between Cinema and Theatre, and it is no coincidence that in “Álbum de Família”, the winning proposal of the Projecto Casa grant, the chosen device is precisely the audiovisual medium. The work has an intimacy that resists the format of the synopsis, and the author prefers to write:
Shoo, silly child
I just came to say hi and I’ll be right back
the door closes in a minute
and outside they start calculating a time
where you have no place
I wanted to take you again to the middle of the poppies
I wanted there still to be an endless summer
an apron your size
but that was yesterday
it was already yesterday
and today look
my arms are full of butter
and it’s not from our mother’s cakes
A work about memory and the passage of time, in dialogue with the notes on photography in Camera Lucida, by Roland Barthes.
