Renee Rosnes is a Canadian pianist, composer, and arranger currently based in New York, with a distinguished career spanning the past thirty-five years, both as a leader and as a collaborator with major figures in jazz. Introduced to the jazz scene by Joe Henderson, Rosnes quickly established herself within the musical circuit, releasing her first album as a leader in 1990 and subsequently making ten albums under her own name while taking part in numerous creative projects, including the SFJAZZ Collective, of which she was a founding member. Among her most recent work is her latest recording, Crossing Paths (2024), in which she explores the music of some of Brazil’s most highly regarded composers.

Originally from Canada, Ingrid Jensen is a trumpeter and composer who studied at Berklee College of Music and has been based in New York since the mid-1990s, where she established the principal base for her creative work. An instrumentalist interested in experimenting with different approaches to music, Jensen has performed with orchestras led by Maria Schneider and Darcy James Argue and regularly takes part in collaborative projects with musicians including Terry Lynn Carrington, Helen Sung, Clark Terry, and Esperanza Spalding, among others, while also developing her own ensembles. One of her most frequent collaborators is her sister, saxophonist and composer Christine Jensen: the two have co-led a quintet, and the trumpeter performs as a soloist with the Christine Jensen Jazz Orchestra.

Saxophonist, composer, and educator Nicole Glover is currently, despite her relative youth, a prominent name on today’s New York music scene. Following an initial period of jazz training in her hometown of Portland and further studies at William Paterson University, Glover has developed a demanding and highly regarded career alongside leading figures in the genre such as Wynton Marsalis, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Luis Perdomo, and Christian McBride, whose quintet she is a member of. To date, Nicole Glover’s work as a bandleader has resulted in five albums featuring different musical ideas and ensemble configurations.

Noriko Ueda is a Japanese double bassist with a multifaceted musical background that includes piano, electric bass, and classical voice studies in Japan, followed by jazz composition at Berklee College of Music in Boston, USA, where she ultimately remained in order to develop her musical career. Her professional work includes her involvement with the DIVA Jazz Orchestra and creative relationships with several major figures in jazz, including Diane Schuur, Nancy Wilson, Frank Wess, and Kenny Barron. Ueda released her first recording, Debut, in 2015, in a trio with drummer Quincy Davis and pianist Ted Rosenthal, and she also has a significant body of work as the leader of her own big band.

After twenty-five years of activity, not only in jazz but also across adjacent stylistic territories such as pop, folk rock, and exploratory music, Allison Miller is now an established name in the North American musical landscape. Coming from a family with musical connections, this New York-based self-taught drummer, improviser, and composer has collaborated throughout her career with numerous renowned figures, including singer-songwriters Ani DiFranco and Natalie Merchant, saxophonist Marty Ehrlich, and trumpeter Steven Bernstein, among others. At the same time, she continues to work as a bandleader and co-leader, as exemplified by the project Boom Tic Boom, which Allison Miller presented at Guimarães Jazz in 2017.
