Directed by Nuno M Cardoso and performed by Albano Jerónimo, Beatriz Batarda and Marina Leonardo, “Orgy” reflects the concerns that ran throughout Pier Paolo Pasolini’s career. It is a contemporary tragedy about diversity and the dark and violent impulses that drive human beings.

More than a play, “Orgy” can be defined as a poem with several voices, or a secular oratory that expresses, between lyricism and declaration, the crisis of contemporary society, represented through an individual obsession. In “Orgy”, the fertility mystery and identity problems encounter the obsession with sex, an object of guilt and a means of knowledge: here we find the delirium of a couple, a bloody orgy of words that finds its essence in the recognition of diversity.
